ABOUT.

Oribelle is an expressive composer, pianist, and educator based in Singapore. She has scored for various commercial brands such as HSBC, Workforce Singapore, and local short films such as “Ke”, directed by Jun Chong, Singapore’s first dialect omnibus film 667, which premiered at the renowned Busan International Film Festival 2017 and won numerous awards at the Sapporo Short Festival. In 'The 48 Hour Film Project 2014', her team bagged the Best Film award, and was showcased at the Filmapalooza finale festival in Los Angeles. This gave her the opportunity to work with award winning Music Producers and Film Directors.

As a pianist, Oribelle has performed extensively at numerous music festivals, private event launches and dinners. She is a member with Singaporean band, WAVV and has shared the stage with many favourite local musicians. Oribelle and her former band "Laid Comers" released an EP album in 2016 which made its way to top 3 on iTunes in Singapore.

Oribelle has established a name for herself as a patient and dedicated teacher. Music education has been one of Oribelle's passion since her schooling days in 2010 and she has since garnered a body of students from ages 4 to 60. She has successfully held 2 self-organised student piano recitals at The Arts House with students performing an array of repertoires from classical, pop and jazz. She owns a piano home studio which she fondly named 'The Piano Mentors'.

Oribelle's gutsy versatility and wide repertoire of songs span across various genres from jazz, pop, rock, and many more. She enjoys composing for different genres of music with emotional and uplifting tunes and believes in creating strong and impressional melodies in a music composition, from small ensembles of piano and strings to modern electronic music, and even to a full orchestral composition.

Oribelle graduated from the University of London’s Goldsmith College, majoring in Music Technology. Prior to that, she holds a Diploma in Music and Audio Technology from Singapore Polytechnic an ATCL in Piano Performance (Distinction) from Trinity College and Grade 8 in Piano and Music Theory from ABRSM.
